Take a 15 minute cab ride (phone 131 008 to book) from the airport to the Breakwater Ferry Terminal. From there one of Sunferries high speed cataramans will take you to Nelly Bay in air conditioned comfort in around 25 mins

If you are bringing your car over to the island then head to the Fantasea Magnetic terminal at Ross St South Townsville. Its a leisurely 45 min trip to Nelly Bay
